WORLD PREMIERE IN AUGUST

THE END OF DEATH (The Future Ain't What it Used to Be!) by award-winning playwright Janet S. Tiger and starring acclaimed San Diego actor Jonathan Dunn-Rankin receives its world premiere on August 3rd, 8 PM at Swedenborg Hall, 1531 Tyler, SD 92103 and runs through August 19, with shows Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 PM and Sunday matinees at 3 PM. The show will be extended to August 24 and 25 if ticket sales warrant!

Based on the no-longer-science-fiction idea - 'what if we lived forever?', THE END OF DEATH is offering an unusual special - anyone over the age of 100 gets a free ticket! (with valid ID, of course).

Tiger, Swedenborg Hall's Playwright-in-Residence, was commissioned to write THE END OF DEATH as part of the Artist-in-Residency program. Her first play at the hall, RENNY'S STORY, about a Holocaust survivor, sold out its May 2006 run, and her one-act, THE TOWEL LADY, was an audience favorite at the UHAO. (University Heights Arts Open)

"Commissioning a world premiere is very exciting for us," said Rev. Carla Friedrich, pastor of the Swedenborgian Church where the Hall is located. She added, "Pardon the pun, but I am dying to see it."

Directed by Diane Shea, there is more info on the cast, crew and playwright at www.PlaysbyJanetSTiger.com, (End of Death page) where tickets can be purchased via PayPal.
